FiRsT cAkE!!!

So I am taking a cake decorating class and this was my very first cake, it ended up looking like a barbie cake (and it was for shawn :)... but oh well! My pink frosting wasn't blended very well so the pink boarder around the hearts is very light on some, oh well again!

My Classroom

This is my classroom, the school is really old- but it is fun! This job is testing every last ounce of my patience, every day I have to talk myself out of screaming at the top of my lungs, but really I am having fun, and I love the kids!

cabin!

hold on shawn!

Shawn had a little 'run in' with the pond- the pond won! so we had to dry his clothes:)

a few more summer pictures from the cabin! it is always nice to get away from it all and head up there. these pics are from the last visit with Nate and Paige before they left for Ohio :( I wish we had the camera rolling when marley decided to jump into the pond for no apparent reason, and then wouldn't let Shawn help him out. last weekend while we were there, we picked wild berries and my mom and i made jam- so yummy. so many memories up here... most all of them good!

Shawn going down the zipline. notice how close his butt is to touching the water. the ride prior he wasn't so lucky and got soaked :)

here's to NeW cHaPteRs in out lives!!!!

Life is ALWAYS changing, and things never ever go as planned.... but I love the "new chapters" that life frequently brings. I have also found that there are things to love and dislike in each, but all end up providing amazing learning experiences. I like change and once again change has found me. I title this new chapter of my life, I AM FINALLY A TEACHER!!!! It seemed like I would never get to this point, for the last five years of my life I have been working to achieve this and it is finally here! I am teaching kindergarten at Washington Elementary, in Bountiful. The kids are darling, and they are so smart- some of them came already knowing how to read! Most of them call me Mrs. Aim.... I guess the "s" is just a little too much for them : ) I am so excited to get to know the students, and if I can I will try to post some pictures (im not sure if it is legal for me to post pictures without permission from their parents???) but they are adorable! There are 25 of them, so my hands are full! Really I am scared to death, knowing their learning is in my hands, and at this age they are learning so much, and it is all crutial to their development.... so no screwing up on my part!
