we arrived to the hospital early friday {july 8th} morning. i was admitted and started....

the contractions came......

He was great support!

My sweet Paisley is here! Everything went so good, and she is AMAZING! I am in love love love with our new addition! McCoy is so sweet and he loves his baby sis, he always is giving her kisses and patting her back. I am so lucky to have these two kiddos! PaRk CiTy

Last weekend we decided to get a hotel in Park City for just one night... a quick little getaway with just McCoy before the baby Paisley comes. We walked around main street, ate dinner, and then swam at the hotel all evening. It was a fun time, and McCoy loved the pool, and of course the pizza (he is obsessed with pizza). Here is to the last week of being a family of 3!

Lagoon this year was so much fun! McCoy LOVED all of the rides, I was so surprised that he wasn't scared.... but he and E.J. loved them! They even went on the new roller coaster bom-bora, and it is a pretty big roller coaster, it makes puff look like nothing! I was so nervous the first time they went on it, but after they were done they wanted to go again, good thing they both had dads who were willing to do it a few times! The weather was perfect and it was such a good day!

Ok so for like the last week I have been dying to try a new recipe, chicken gyros with a tzatziki sauce. Well I finally made then yesterday and YUCK!!! I didn't finish mine and I threw the extras away- it definitely was not what I was thinking it was going to be..... so I made up for it by making these delicious little things:

Peanut Butter Chocolate Heaven Cookies
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened (I used salted butter and cut the 1/4 teaspoon salt down to 1/8 teaspoon)
1 cup peanut butter at room temperature
¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon (for sprinkling) sugar
½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup peanut butter chips
½ cup chocolate chipsPreheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, the baking soda, the baking powder, and the salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and the peanut butter together until fluffy. Add the sugars and beat until smooth. Add the egg and mix well. Add the milk and the vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture and beat thoroughly. Stir in the peanut butter chips. Place sprinkling sugar on a plate. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into the sugar, then onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving several inches between for expansion. Using a fork, lightly indent with a crissscross pattern but do not overly flatten cookies. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes Do not overbake. Cookies may appear to be underdone, but they are not.

Cool the cookies on the sheets for 1 minute, then remove to a rack to cool completely.

Lately

So we are all moved in to our new., but temporary house. We are renting a house in Herriman while we find something to buy or build. We are LOVING all of the space that a this house has to offer, it is so much better than our town house (don't get me wrong I loved the town house) space just feels nice! And a garage is as luxurious as at seems:)

McCoy had his 2nd last Sunday, and I can't believe that my baby is getting to be so big! His crib is history, and he is doing pretty good with the big boy bed. Potty training is slowly becoming an interest but he is getting the idea. WOW- I am so lucky to have him! He is a climbing, throwing, independent, jumping, active, and crazy toddler but I am loving the adventure! He is 100% boy and 100% ALL OVER THE PLACE! It will be interesting to see how I juggle him with a new born thrown into the mix.

I am taking a break from the packing madness that has been my life this week. We are moving in a day and I need a little time out- so here you go paige, a preggo pic..... me in all my glory at 30 weeks.

We had a great Easter weekend in St. George, that too was a great break from packing and cleaning. The whole Ames family was there, minus Trent and family (missed you guys!) It was a full house but so great to be together! I didn't any pictures... i am totally lame, I know. Thanks again to Scott and Linda for a great time!

Oh I have so much to do to get things ready for Paisley, since she will be sharing a room with McCoy, I am totally re-doing their room, we (when i say "we" I mean Shawn) have a lot of painting to do (sorry Shawn), I have found so many pictures of nursery's that are my inspiration I can't wait until all my ideas have come together and the room is done :)

Oh how I love my McCoy! He is just too big, I can't believe that he as turned into a toddler! Coy loves our dog Marley, his name is usually the first thing we hear from Coy in the morning, and we hear it all day long "Mar-ee Mar-ee" too bad Marley doesn't feel the same way about McCoy... oh well at least he is tolerant. Ok... so last summer I really tried to stick to making a menu for dinners to help limit my number trips to the grocery store. Well I was consistent and I cut our monthly grocery bill

Wow- just by making a menu and shopping in advance and all at once.
And it only lasted that one month....

Well I have been inspired by melskitchencafe.com to start menu planning again, she has great tips, and like her I am planning two weeks at a time making one big shopping trip every other week, with a small trip on the second week. Well I started this week, making the menu and grocery list was so easy- and it took maybe 30 min tops!

I am excited to see how much money we will save!!!!

So here is my challenge to all of you to do the same, or if anyone has any tips let me know! I will post my menus if anyone wants ideas :)

Our last day was at sea, and it was raining so we stayed inside and went to all the shows/activities- it was a good day. I learned how to fold towels into animals and I LOVED that... I felt like a pro! We were so sad that our vacation was over but we were SO EXCITED to get home to our McCoy! We missed that boy oodles! Thanks to g-pa/ma Ames for coming all the way from St. George to watch him!

Thursday we were in Grand Turk, we really should of booked an excursion through the cruise line this day, the island was not commercial at all, so once we got off the ship there really wasn't much to do. The cruise lines built a "cruise center" right at port and there was a beach a little shopping, and this area was really nice- but that was really it. Later in the day we took an expensive taxi ride to "down town" and it was nothing but a couple of shacks with cheap souvenirs. It was really poverty stricken, and it was so crazy to see the houses that these people live in- at least it is warm there and they don't have to be cold in their bare houses!

Cruise Part 2

Wed. we were in Half Moon Cay- COMPLETE PARADISE! Out of the 11 Caribbean islands we have been to this was probably our favorite. It is a private island owned by a cruise line, and it truly is exactly what you think of when you think of tropical paradise.... We walked around the island when we fist got their, then we rented a shade tent, and played on the beach and the water all day- it was heaven! Oh ya it was also our 4 year anniversary this day and it was perfect!

On Nov. 1st we got to Miami and boarded the ship, played, ate, and enjoyed the first night of cruise entertainment. Tuesday we woke up and we were in Nassau Bahama's, we went on a catamaran and we were suppose to go to a private beach, but the water was too rough and we couldn't go, so we had a little extra time at the snorkeling spot. The snorkeling was not the best, but is was still fun to explore the water, and the few fish that we did see. After getting back to the island we went to the craziest flea market ever- I have never been bugged so much by people wanting us to buy things- it was constant "what does the pretty lady want? come take a look. How much do you want to pay? Be a nice girl and buy something" it was every second there were people calling for you to buy- it was crazy! Then we walked to a public beach, swam, and I had my hair braided by a women who wanted to make me a "Bahama Mama" as she put it- so I haggled her down to like 3 dollars for one french braid in the front (she wanted 10). I have never had my hair braided so tight, it was a little sore at first- but it lasted almost three days. Then it was a little more shopping and walking around then back to the ship. Our evenings usually went like this: get back on board, shower, take a nap/watch whatever movie was playing, get ready for dinner, eat, then try to attend all activities and shows that the ship had to offer. It was so so so so so great! More on the rest of the trip to follow.

Once again... way behind, but better late then never right? We were at Bear Lake the first week of August- and we had a great time. Coy loved sitting in the little chairs down at the beach, he would sit in one for a long time, just checking out the scenery (just like mommy on that one). We sure missed Paige, Nate, Emersyn, Trent, Lindsie, Dallin, Cade, Tiff, Mitch, and Chandler this summer- next summer will be great with everyone there again (minus my cute missionary bro, Carter).

Ok, so today we finally picked up our computer and it is up and running.... so soon to follow will be more posts. The summer is going by so fast, I'm sad that it is ending, but I am so looking forward to the fall! We've had fun with little summer outings and i will post some pics of our adventures soon.

McCoy just had his 15 month apt and these are his stats:

He is such a tall little man... and most of his length is in his torso, he has one super long body! Lately I have been getting alot of comments that he looks much older and bigger than 15 months- must be cause he has such a tall daddy and grandpa's. Love my boy so much, even if he is getting big :)

Over Fathers day weekend we went down to Moab and stayed with our friends Robbie, Carly, and Dax. They were so nice and let us stay at their house, we had such a fun time with them! While we were there we went to Canyonlands, Arches nation park, had a campfire/tinfoil dinner, and Shawn showed me some of the four wheelin trails. It was a quick trip but we had a blast.... thanks again to carly and robbie!

A day in my life is nothing too exciting or extravagant...... but it is all I have ever wanted and all I counld ever ask for! I love hanging out with coy all day long- we do normal stuff but the ordinary has become truly amazing to me! Our little guy just keeps on getting more and more fun, he has such a funny personality! He loves to make us laugh... I think he will be the class clown for sure (just like his daddy).

Today my stake had a women's confrence and they had some really great speakers. One of the speakers was Brooke Walker. As most of you know Brooke is co-host of ksl's Studio 5, anyways... she gave such a great talk about five important things for us to say to ourselves everyday. I was truly inspired but what she had to say. The five "I am's" were: I am appreciated, I am passionate, I am grateful, I am beautiful, and I AM HAPPY. She gave an explination on each, and really it was so good. It got me thinking- do we really take the time each day to connect with who we really are as daughters of God, wives, mothers..... and live each day to the fullest? Just a little food for thought!

McCoy's first birthday was so much fun... he is just so much fun, we are so grateful that he is ours. This past year has been the best year of our life, we love being parents and McCoy is just so amazing. I can't believe that it has already been a whole year, it seems just like yesterday we were in the hospital meeting our little guy for the first time. He is our shining light, and no matter how much our life has changed in this whirlwind called parenthood, it is so worth it- i can not imagine our life without our best buddie "coy boy"! I have been on a crafty kick-
These two things are super cheap and easy, I really like them both! If you are interested on how to make them, just ask and I will post the directions :)

Mom's Famous Cinnamon Rolls!

1/2 c. warm water (room temp. if it is too hot it will kill the yeast)
2 T yeast
2 cups milk
1/2 cup of oil
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup mashed potatoes (yes potatoes)
2 eggs beaten
7 cups of flour

mix all ingrediants in a mixer for about five minutes, then let the dough rise (I let it rise for about 2 hours).

knead dough and put on a floured counter top.

roll out dough into a rectangle, and put all the extras you want on it. I put about 3/4 of a stick, melted and cooled down butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

roll the dough up and cut with a knife or a string, the thickness dependends on how thick you want them, I do them about a inch and a half?

put on a greased cookie sheet and let them rise until almost doubled in size

bake at 375 for 20 mins. Frost with frosting of your choice- Shawn loves the cream cheese frosting so that is what i did :)

McCoy is our valentine- he is the best example of perfect love-

On Monday he turned 9 months old... I can't belive it!

21 lbs (60%) and 30 inches (90%), he is getting so big!!!!

We love our sweet baby boy so much, he is scooting all over the place and crawling backwards- he hasn't quite figured out hoe to go forward:) he is the love of our life, and we love being his parents! We truly love this stage of life- it is so amazing! Happy Valentines day to everyone!

So McCoy has been loving going underneath his crib, when he is in his room playing he always finds his way under there, and he takes toys (or hangers) underthere with him- it cracks me up! A few weeks ago he was playing in his room and he started to make loud noises, then he stopped- I went in to check on him and he had his toy basket over his face, he wasn't crying- just moving his arms and legs.... I am loving life with my little McCoy he is so much fun!

So we got a hotel- I found a hotel for really cheap, but the pics and reviews seemed ok so we went with it. Oh boy.... the hotel defined THE GHETTO! Since we got there so late friday night, we decided to just sleep there, and we got a new hotel in the morning. MORAL OF THE STORY- sometimes it is worth spending the extra 40 bucks a night. I took pics of this place becuase it was so unreal, and because I can't really describe it! We justed laughed and laughed about it- GOOD TIMES! We are excited for their house to be finished, so we can just stay with them next time! I wish we would of taken more pictures of McCoy and the trip- but Shawn and I both stink at remembering to take them- so we will try to be better!

Christmas

Christmas this year so fun with McCoy- even though he had no idea what was going on, it was still fun to have it be about him! We spent the night at my mom's since Nate and Paige are in town. We stayed at their house all day just hanging out, playing wii, and eating yummy food! I love how relaxed Christmas is for our family- there is no where to go, and nothing to hurry to. It is such a nice day! Santa spoiled Shawn and I with a new mattress, we are still waiting for FED EX to deliver it, but boy do we need it! Our mattress has lost all support and our backs kills us every morning when we wake up! We are so excited for the new one to come- thanks Santa! Life continues to be busy but good, Shawn is working hard, and I am killing myself with an overload of homework (online classes). All of my classes will be finished on Feb 1st- I am going to party when I am done.... anyone can join if they'd like!

Happy New Years to all of you! I hope you all have a great year, with good health and much happiness! I am looking forward to this year- I will have a first b-day with my McCoy... and who knows what else is in store for us??? I'm looking forward to the surprises!

2009 was amazing! There were by far many more highlights, then lowlights! We have been so blessed! The Lords hand continues to guide us, and bless us and we go through life! Here is a list on some, there are way to many to all make mention:
Highlights: May 8,2009- McCoy joins our family, delivery went amazing
Jan. 09- E.J. in born, and I go to Ohio to meet her
March 09- disneyland with my mom and dad, and 8 months prego:)
April 09- Trip to vegas, 9 months preggo
July 09- Trip to san diego with my whole family, McCoys first plane ride outside of the womb
Oct 09- Baby and Me go to Ohio to see cousin E.J.
Lowlights: Aug. 09- moving out of our town house, to have our new home purchase fall through, and move back in to our town house 2 1/1 months later. (not so fun with a new baby). Making my # of times moving since high school jump to 12!!!!
Oct. 09- Shawns parents moving to St. George- we miss them
Fall 09- Shawns hunting trips are again unsuccessful :( next year babe!

McCoy is getting so big! I love love love him! Everday I feel so spoiled to get to hang out with him all day long. He is so happy! Here are some Picture's from Christmas and random pics from December.

My baby is 6 months old.... I can't believe how FAST time has flown by!!! I love having him in my life, he is MY LIFE! He is not loving solid foods at all, it is a fight everytime I try to feed him anything but my milk, picky picky picky!

We're Moving Back!!!

Let me start by saying jsut how much I LOVE the fall season!!!! It is my absolute favorite and I am loving every minute of it!

So we are moving back to our town house next week, it has been a crazy turn of events but we are grateful and excited to move back. After having a renter for only 2 1/2 months we have decided not to do that again, and just put it up for sale... if you know anyone who is looking- let us know :) Thanks to my mom and dad for letting us stay at there house since august, we appreciate it so much!

Two weeks ago McCoy and I went to Ohio to visit my sis and her lil family, We had so much fun with them and we were busy the whole week doing all sorts of fun things (for a detailed account visit her blog:), thanks for the great time Lloyds! We love you! I very quickly learned that I never want to travel alone with McCoy again, it was very interesting to say the least!

McCoy continues to grow and amaze me everday, I LOVE LOVE LOVE being his mommy! I am so lucky to get to raise him, he is the BIGGEST BLESSING to Shawn and I! He is rolling all over the place, and trying to get his balance to sit. He loves his daddy so much! When Shawn get home from work, McCoy doesn't take his eye off of him, it is so cute! He is the BEST DADDY ever!

So today we offically had to say good- bye to the woods cross home :(, things definately are not working out how we had planned, but i know that everything happens for a reason. Wwe will stay at my parents until we figure out what to do next. So even though it made me sad to say bye to the house, I realize that I have every reason to be HAPPY- I have McCoy. He is my light, every time I look at him I feel overcome with happiness! I love him and his daddy so much!~ with them I have EVERYTHING!

McCoy had his 4 month check up this week and he is so big!!! 16.3 lbs, and 26 1/2 inches long!!!!! What happend to my tiny new born?????? He rolled over for the first time a couple weeks ago- and is such a mover! I LOVE LOVE LOVE him!

So things have been busy still, and I've fallen way behind on blogging... here is a little 411 on what has been going on..

McCoy is getting so big, he is already 3 1/2 months old. I miss my new born baby, but at the same time I am loving watching him grow and do more things... he know holds his head up pretty good, he is talking lots (I wish I knew what he was saying), and he smiles and giggles all day long! I love him so stinkin much, he makes me smile everytime that i see him, he is EVERYTHING to me! He is really an amazing baby, I am so LUCKY to have him.

Paige and Nate moved back to Ohio last week :(, I already miss spending time with my best friend! I am sad that Emersyn will change so much before I see her again, but I am excited for them to have another year of school out of the way! E.J. is so BEAUTIFUL, she really is a true beauty and her little personality is so fun! It was so fun having them here for the first few months of McCoys life, doing mommy things together with Paige! (Good luck Nate- you're pretty much the man)!

The sellers bank has accepted our offer on the house in Woods Cross, and we will be closing on it in the next couple of weeks- we are living with my parents until then. We are so excited :)

STAYING BUSY!!!!

WOW- the last couple weeks have been very BUSY for us!!!!

On July 10th we went to SAN DIEGO with my whole family. It was so much fun to get away for a quick weekend. McCoy was amazing to travel with and he did awesome, however we have quickly learned the traveling with a infant is tricky!

We put an offer in on a home in Woods Cross, we were just the back up offer but we found out that they have accepted our offer!!!! We are just waiting for the sellers bank to mail the final approval letter (it is a short sale home). So we put our town house on ksl for sale or rent. Last monday we found a guy who wanted to rent, we sat down went over all the specifics and he told us he wanted to do it, but he had to move in by friday- that gave me three days to pack up my house. So my mom and shawn's mom came over the next day and we got our house all packed up.... just to have the guy BAIL ON US- and change is mind... SOME PEOPLE!!!!! We have found another renter (luckily). So we will be moving into my mom's while we wait for the banks letters.

This last weekend we went camping with mine and Shawn's parents, Paige, Nate, Emersyn, Trent, and Dallin. It was so good to have a quick little get away. It was only in the 70's up there compaired to the the 100's down here in the valley, and that was nice!

We are so excited to start life in our new house, it has all happened so fast- but we feel so blessed, things really work out how and when they are suppose to. We will miss this house so much, it was such an amazing place to start!

Today is Shawns birthday.... He is so amazing I don't know what I would do without him. He is amazing with McCoy, I couldn't ask for a better dad for my children- LOVE YOU BABE!

McCoy is doing awesome, I am so in love with him already- he is my light, my life, and my joy. I just always want him to be happy... the love that parents have for their children, is over whelming (as I am finding out), and I am loving every minute of it!

Yay, my sweet baby boy is here and all is going good! The delivery went awesome and McCoy is healthy and has all 10 fingers and 10 toes. Words can't express how much I love this little guy, being a mommy is the best ever! We came home from the hospital on mothers day (what a great present), and things are going good at home, we are definately learning that there is a huge adjustment that comes along with these tiny packages, but slowly we are getting the hang of it.

So I am going to the hospital tomorrow at 7 a.m. to be induced! I am so excited to meet this little man on mine. I was really freaking out at the beginning of the week, I wasn't sure if I should be induced and I was just really overwhelmed- but I am so glad we made this decesion, I feel good about it and I'm ready to rock-n-roll (ready or not.... right???)! I can't believe how fast time went, I thought that nine months was forever away- but here we are! I will post some pictures as soon as we can! WOW, tomorrow Shawn and I will be mommy and daddy, look out world!

I can't believe how close we are getting to having our sweet little McCoy... I am so excited and scared at the same time! I can't wait to kiss soft cheeks, and snuggle with him for endless hours! At my Dr. apt on monday we found out that I am progressing wonderfully already, and that I can be induced at 39 weeks if I haven't had him by then (as my Dr. put it). That is only two weeks away... it doesn't seem real!

We just got back from vegas yesterday.... it was our last getaway before McCoy comes, and boy is he coming fast! Just about 4 more weeks left and I am so so so so EXCITED to meet this little boy who I love so much!! If I could tell him one thing right now, it would be that I have waited my whole life to be his mommy, that is all I have ever wanted to be and I am so excited to start with him! ANYWAYS, vegas was alright (not my most favorite place to visit- naked girls, gambling and drinking.... not big on my list of things I do or like to see everywhere), but we had a good time and it was nice to escape for the long easter weekend.

We went to Disneyland two weeks ago and we loved it, the trip was too short- I could be in that amazing southern Cali weather ALWAYS. We got to visit some places where Shawn served his mission, and wow... can I just say that San Clemente is amazing, I'm jealous he got to live there for 6+ months! Baby News: So at my last Dr's apt. he told me that if I have made any progress by 39 weeks, he will induce me then.... thats right a whole week early (funny how important weeks become when you are pregnant)! I told myself from the start that if he offered to induce me I would turn him down and just wait until the baby is ready... that was before I got into my last month of pregnancy! Now that I understand how uncomfortable this whole thing is I will GLADLY accept to be induced, hopefully some progress will be taking place here within the next couple weeks cause I AM SO READY TO HAVE THIS LITTLE LOVE BOY OF MINE!

Next thursday we are flying to cali, and we are going to disneyland on my birthday.... I am so excited, I feel like a little kid! I don't know how many rides I am going to get away with, they might just happen to see my big 33 week prego belly, but then again maybe no body will notice! Anyways we are excited to get away before our little McCoy comes. I will post some pics of my belly (it just keeps on growing)!

Here is a picture of McCoys quilt, I love the way it turned out I am so excited to get his room all put together- Shawn got the room painted this weekend... it is so fun starting to really get ready for our little man!

This is my last week of my second trimester, time actually is flying by- I am loving these days of being pregnant, feeling him move around, and the bonding that I am having with my sweet baby boy. I can't wait to be McCoys MOMMY!

So I flew out Ohio last thursday to visit my sis and her new baby Emersyn... All I have to say is that Emersyn is absolutely PERFECT! It was so fun to be around a new born for that long and kinda get a sense of how it will be when McCoy is born. I stinkin love little Emersyn so much!!!! I cried when I saw her, and bawled when I had to say goodbye. I cried at the airport, on the plane, in Chicago during layover and again on the plane! I just wanted to stay there and hold her and help paige. It was so nice to go and just be there, not having to worring about going anywhere or having to worry about time... we just hung out and I loved it! Thanks to Paige and Nate for being awesome hosts, even just after bringing a new baby home. I wish I was still there- if I didn't have parent teacher confrences this week I would of seriously considered staying!!! E.J. was like holding a little piece of heaven- I so needed that little dose of her! LOVE YOU LLOYDS!

Ok so here is the story to my title. So I have some girls in my class who love that I have a baby in my tummy, and they are always giving me and the baby hugs, and drawing pictures of me (with a big circle at my stomach) in their writing journals. So on tuesday one of the girls came up and was touching my belly and I said "he is growing bigger huh?" well right then her friend looked over (keep in mind that this is a five year old) and said "DAMN! that baby is getting big! He better come out soon!" I had to just walk away so she wouldn't see me laughing, I thought it was the funniest comment ever! She had the prefect context and tone, she said it with so much expression and attitude- it was awesome. I coudn't even tell her that she shouldn't say that would in Kindergarten, it was too funny! These kids definately keep me on my toes and there is never a dull moment in Mrs. Ames class!

So this isn't the best picture (it is a picture of a picture)... but here is a little look at McCoy's profile. It is blurry and hard to see in this copy... but I love this pic, in the real pic you can see his little nose and lips... so cute! I love him so stinkin much already.... I can't imagine how much more that love will grow when I actually see him for the first time. He is moving alot these days, and I love feeling him! Shawn has gotten a few little kicks, and he too loves to feel his baby boy! We had this ultra-sound yesterday and everything looks really good, he was measuring at 21 weeks and four days, two days ahead of schedule (not that this means much) but wahoo anyways!

Since I am kinda starting to show, I've been thinking I better start taking belly shots.... so here is 16 1/2 weeks, I feel like I really popped out at the begining of this week, it felt like over night! I'm so excited to have a baby boy cooking in me... the little beenie I am holding to my belly says "baby boy"- we took the pic right after we found out what he was.

Well today was my ultrasound and we are definately having a boy... I'm so excited! I was going to post some pics of the baby but my camera is not working (good thing santa is bringing me a new one for christmas). It is so nice to finally be able to call our baby "he", rather than "it" or "the baby". We are not 100% sure on his name but I'm sure we will soon figure all that out! I love him so much, I can't wait to hold him in my arms!

And some have asked me when I am due, and I realized I haven't blogged anything about that- so I am due May 18, the day after Shawn's b-day, hopefully baby won't be born on his b-day I want them to both have their own special days! Today is our two year anniversary!! We spent the weekend in Park City and we had a great time just hanging out and not being on any time schedule. Tonight we went to dinner at texas road house, but shawn is not feeling so well so he is alseep on the couch.... and I am blogging.

I just have to say that WOW time really does fly, I feel like we were just barely getting married, and now its been two years and we have a baby on the way. Life is crazy how it is always changing! I am so grateful for shawn, he truly is the greatest and I love him so much! (Thanks for putting up with me babe!) It has been an awesome two years, and I am certain that the best is yet to come (it always is).

So today I experienced the most amazing thing i think i have ever experienced in my life, we saw our baby for the very first time!!! I hasn't seemed real to me yet, but actually seeing a little human moving around, and a beating heart hit me so hard. It is now so real to me, I already love this baby more than any words can explain, it is such an overwhelming feeling, I can't imagine what it will be like to actually hold this baby in my arms. I never knew how it would feel experiencing this for myself, i have always thought ultrasounds pictures were so awesome, but being my baby it is totally different.... I have looked at the pictures so much today. Babies are such amazing miracles I can't believe what our bodies are capable of doing! I have been (and still am) very emotional today, I am just so grateful for this amazing blessing in my life. I can't think of a better dad for my children than Shawn, he is so beyond great... I truly am so lucky to have him in my life. To paiges dissapointment there infact was only one baby, she was pretty sad that her guess of twins was indeed wrong (luckily)!

For my dads b-day on the 17th of septemeber we went out to eat at Texas Road House Grill (MY FAVORITE!!!) While there I announced to my family that there will be another grandbaby added to our mix... that is right, shawn and I are expecting our first baby! I couldn't be happier, Im so excited for this new chapter in our lives!

Life is ALWAYS changing, and things never ever go as planned.... but I love the "new chapters" that life frequently brings. I have also found that there are things to love and dislike in each, but all end up providing amazing learning experiences. I like change and once again change has found me. I title this new chapter of my life, I AM FINALLY A TEACHER!!!! It seemed like I would never get to this point, for the last five years of my life I have been working to achieve this and it is finally here! I am teaching kindergarten at Washington Elementary, in Bountiful. The kids are darling, and they are so smart- some of them came already knowing how to read! Most of them call me Mrs. Aim.... I guess the "s" is just a little too much for them : ) I am so excited to get to know the students, and if I can I will try to post some pictures (im not sure if it is legal for me to post pictures without permission from their parents???) but they are adorable! There are 25 of them, so my hands are full! Really I am scared to death, knowing their learning is in my hands, and at this age they are learning so much, and it is all crutial to their development.... so no screwing up on my part!

So Shawn's work is on a shut down, and he has to work 12 hour shifts every night, no days off, for 5 weeks. He has done two weeks already, and I am so bored without him. I get to see him for about a hour and a half each day, that is it! I am lonely here in Centerville, I am wishing right now that I lived a little closer to my fam, and friends ( I know 30 minutes isn't that bad, but doing it a couple times a week drains a whole tank of gas). I chopped more of my hair off, it is an addiction, I better be careful or soon I will have no hair left. PeAcE oUt!!

We were up super early and at the very last minute Shawn decided to run as well. so nate, shawn, and I started our run and finished it just in time for the Menan breakfast- which was amazing... yummy pancakes, sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns :) and of course.. I am loving summer! Yesterday we had family pictures in provo and after we went to Orem city town days (a typical summer event), and we finished the day off with the great american entertainment, of red-necks crashing old cars..... also know as a demolition derby! It was so much fun, it makes me laugh that we pay to see such an event! All these summer "things" make me so happy, I LOVE IT!

Starting a blog....

I am so sure that my life is way too boring to have a blog spot, but here it is anyways!

After talking to my sister in law, I decided that a blog is a good way for shawn's fam to stay informed (since they are all moving away) on what is happening with shawn and I, in our little life!

~Well life is SO GOOD! I just graduated about three weeks ago from the University of Utah (sad to admit, I know), and that is such a relief. The day after classes ended, we jumped on a palne to Maui with Paige and Nate! The trip was awesome and we didn't want to come home! In a week Shawn starts a new job, and we are so so so excited, NO MORE DRIVING TO PARK CITY!!!! The new job is like 5 min. away from home, so that will be awesome! I am working for a chiropractor and am trying to figure out what to do next in my life.
